WE LOVE GAMING

Just like buying a ticket to see a movie cinema-goers can soon buy a ticket for the CineClash show at the cinema.

CineClash is a multiplayer tournament played by the audience using their mobile phones as the game controller.

The cinema - a new social gaming format

One of the new digital revenue streams offered on the Cinemataztic platform is the CineClash. The CineClash is a new multiplayer concept allowing exhibitors to host gaming tournaments for an audience in their theatres.

Today, games live on apps, consoles and computers. The CineClash format is redefining that, by introducing an entirely new channel, giving gaming studios the opportunity to develop and distribute games bespoke for the big silver screen, while the cinemas themselves will have the opportunity to host live, multiplayer tournaments at their venue.

Using their smartphone as the controller, the format will allow the audience to compete against each other simultaneously, from the comfort of their cinema seats.

The CineClash is a gaming tournament targeted the GenZ audience, who will go to the cinema and buy a ticket for the CineClash to enjoy a digital gaming experience in a social space in the physical presence of peers at the cinema auditorium.

CineClash is offering a new business model and collaboration between cinemas and the gaming industry. Across the physical cinema distribution and the online gaming content the CineClash merges the two to improve availability and distribution of gaming experiences and the cinema audience retention and potential among GenZ.

For the last decade cinemas have globally experienced a decline of up to 35% in number of cinema visits among people under 30 years of age. In the same period media consumption has changed radically with average time spend on gaming now surpassing 7 hours a week.

CineClash will leverage online gaming to make the cinema relevant to GenZ in a different way by enhancing the gaming experience with the great sound and the big screen of the cinema.

The Cinemataztic infrastructure provides cinemas with a plug&play gaming platform for hosting  CineClash multiplayer games. The platform establishes a local area network for each cinema auditorium to avoid screen play latency and the players use their own smartphone as game controller.

CineClash is an open platform where game studios can create games for the format and offer their game for distribution in all cinemas who are signed up for the format.

Game studios

Why produce CineClash games?

The upside for game studios is both to receive a royalty payment from the cinemas, just as the

cinemas today pay royalties to film distributors, and to use the platform to promote their games to

the public. Further - game merchandise can be sold via the cinema concession.

Cinemas

Why distribute CineClash games?

The upside for the cinemas is to grow admission sales among the youth by scheduling the CineClash

multiplayer events at their venues and thus offering yet another reason for the youth to visit the cinema.
